@bennyf118 I strongly disagree. Only Cruyff’s, Pele’s and Josimar’s do not deserve to be here. In place I would add the Cambiasso goal from 06 (Although this list was made before 06), the solo Maradona goal vs Belgium in 86, and I’m actually unsure on the 3rd, but I’ll get back to you,

@wunzigan And finally, I hope you’re right about Ronaldo and Messi but don’t count on it- both are very poor for thier national teams. If I was to bet on anyone being spectacular, it would be Kaka for Brasil, a much more consistant player for his NT than the other two.

@wunzigan What the hell are you talking about? There is a goal against England on this list AND there is only one scored by an England player. That to me does not say “biased towards England”. Take that anti-English chip off your shoulder.
And this list was made just before the 2006 World Cup, you’re right. Even so, the only goal from 06 I would have on this list is the Cambiasso goal vs Serbia.

Because it´s BBC and its english, they couldnt themselves allow any goal against their own national side. That is why this ratings is biased towards England. Another thing, this was surely done up to WC98, since in WC06 we have seen some amazing goals. And I am sure that we will some magic in WC2010 with Messi, C.Ronaldo, Spain national team, etc…

@DelaLocos no u couldn’t have passed the ball around a world class team as much times as brazil did and scored
that vid didn’t show all the passes b4 the goal
i can tell from ur comment that u don’t no football as much as u think u do

i think which of the top 2 you prefer depends on whether or not you’re more impressed with team play or individual genius.

for solo goals, DAM’s will probably always be no. 1, but i love the passing in the C. Alberto clip.

can’t BELIEVE Bergkamp vs. Argentina was only 6. i love that goal.

The #1 Brazil goal should compare to Argentina goal against Serbia at WC’06. Tell me which one is better. Where is Brazil goal against Italy at WC’82, that left foot strike is unbelievable.

@b4rcelona who are you not to argue with, president? You are stupid. im not questioning Maradona’s skills he is the best. i’ll respect if someone say his goal is the best ever. But you should know that unlike you many people think team effort is better than solo. Brazil goal is not about Pele anyway. If you think Maradona is better than Pele, there is much better videos to show people your point since this video is about goals.

how is maradonas solo goal not number 1… lol funny this vid kinda proved why maradona is better than pele.. pele had a fantastic team, look at how they pass.. maradona had to score on his own from half way. and please dont argue with me, anyone that knows anything about football knows peles brasil team were as good as barca is now and maradonas argentina were as good as xerez or tenerife, maybe as good as getafe.

I never really cared for Maradona´s goal, those british defenders were just like slumbering towers waiting for the subway. Instead, Brasil´s goal was a sheer display of teamwork and great football, just passing the ball all over one of the best teams in the world back then, like if they were toying with them. They missed the goal Mexican Negrete scored in ´86 against Bulgaria, though..
